How to use the weather station information

The Leuchars Metar: this is taken directly from the the text of the Metar placed on the Internet. It is not updated very often, 4 times a day maximum, it does however have the benefit of being based on certified meteorology equipment and met-man eyeballs looking out the window. It is a good sense check of what our weather station reports especially in pressure, cloudbase and cloud cover. Make sure the time is current when you use it, there is no guarantee that the Internet NOAA site (where the Metar is found) will be updated.

 

this shows just about everything possible, all info is taken directly from the weather station at the club and displayed as a snapshot every 30 minutes.
